I can't quite believe this is happening, but... I've bought a house! My fiance and I went ahead and make the leap into the land of mortgages, exchanging contracts and Dyson hoovers. We are hoping to move in by late March and until then are spending our weekends perusing home shops and picking up bits within our budget.

This also means I have spent a lot of time browsing home shops online, getting inspired by Scandi-style interiors on Pinterest and lusting over some of the houses on Instagram. I thought I would share a post with some of my favourite bits I've found... and am trying to convince Tom to let me buy!

I love interior design and for years have built up a Pinterest board of pretty things and ideas for my home. Now owning a home has become a reality, my style has evolved into what I'm going to call contemporary minimalism. I love neutral tones with hints of colour, plants here, there and everywhere and some cute finishing touches.

For our bedroom we are very much going with a grey, pink, white and wood theme, and I cannot wait to share the final style with you!

The rest of the house will be minimal, everything will have it's own place, but there will also be lots of space for personal touches and cosy extras. The house is big and something that will take a while to get finished, but that's the fun of it. This is a great project and I am so excited to get started in a couple of months, once everything has gone through!
